Situated at the foot of a hill at a distance of about 20 km from Lalsot in Dausa district of Rajasthan, Paplaj Mata Temple is a major centre of faith and devotion not only for the local people but also for the devotees coming from far and wide. Travelers do not need to go to Lalsot to reach this temple. On the way to Lalsot, a road from Nangal leads to Paplaj Mata Temple. There is always a crowd of devotees here, and a special fair is organized here during the Navratris of Chaitra and Ashwin.

In the temple, folk singers inspire the devotees with their melodious songs, and wheat, makhana etc. are offered to Mataji. Languria temple is also located right in front of the temple and Bhairav ​​temple is also located at the turn of the hill, which further increase the religious importance.

History and Miraculous Beliefs

The temple of Paplaj Mata is famous not only in Dausa district but in the whole of Rajasthan. According to the Archaeological Department, this idol is about 788 years old, while according to Jaga Pothi it was established 1100 years ago. The belief of this temple is so deep that dumb, deaf, blind, paralyzed and other suffering people come here to ask for their wishes.

The water source coming out from under the temple, which is called "Sapadawa", is helpful in curing skin diseases according to the belief of the people. The water of this water source is a center of faith for the devotees. Apart from this, the Banyan tree located near the temple is considered to be the first Banyan tree on earth, and it is also said that the Gavari dance of Mewar also started from here.

Lav Kush Vatika is being constructed at a cost of Rs 2 crore on the hills of Paplaj Mata, so that this area can be made even more beautiful and tourist friendly. Fruitful, flowering and medicinal trees are being planted in this garden, and it is being developed under the plastic free policy. A herbal garden is also being built here, which will be a special center of attraction for tourists.
