Amavasya Tithi falls on the last day of Krishna Paksha of every month according to the Hindu calendar. On this day the moon remains invisible in the sky and is considered a symbol of darkness and spiritual practice. Amavasya Tithi is considered extremely important from religious, spiritual and astrological point of view.
This day is suitable for peace, meditation and sadhana of ancestors. Amavasya is also related to the worship of Shani Dev, Pitru Dosh Nivaran and Goddess Kali. It is considered auspicious for sadhana, tarpan and donation.
According to a legend, the doors of Pitruloka are open on the day of Amavasya, and the ancestors accept the tarpan and donations made by their descendants. On this day, the souls of the ancestors get peace and satisfaction.
Amavasya is called the day of ancestors. Feeding someone on this day means that we are offering food to our ancestors. By doing this, one gets freedom from Pitru Dosh and the souls of ancestors get peace.
These Amavasya dates are according to the Hindu calendar and are considered important all over India. These dates are important for religious and social occasions and are useful in various religious functions.
