In Hinduism, seven days of the week are dedicated to some deity. In this way, the day of Friday also holds importance in Hindu religion. Friday is dedicated to Mata Lakshmi and Mata Santoshi. This Friday fast can be started from any Friday. If this fast is a Friday of Shukla Paksha, then it is good.
While starting this fast, the fasting person should take a resolution that how many Fridays will he fast. For this, 7, 11, 21, 31, 51, and 101 can be fasted on Fridays.
To observe the fast on Friday, the people should wake up in the Brahma Muhurta and take a bath and wear clean clothes. After wearing clothes, one should take a vow to fast in front of the mother. The idol and Shri Yantra of Goddess Lakshmi should be installed at any place in the house. Mata Rani should be worshiped in the evening.
