Harsiddhi temple is one of the most prominent temples in the ancient city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. Harsiddh temple is totally dedicated to Devi Annapurna. The main idol of the diety in this temple is colored with dark Sindhuri color. The idol of Devi Annapurna is placed between the idols of Mahalakshmi and MahaSaraswati.

Shri Yantra, a symbol of Shakti or the power is also present in this temple. There is a Shri Yantra in front of the Garbha –graha  in this temple. This place is one of the holy places of Harsiddhi temple. It is said that one can achieve the positive temperament by just having  a glance of Shri Yantra.

Lord Shiva is also present here in the form of Krcoteshwar Mahadev which is one of the forms of 84 Mahadevas. It is believed that the kala-sarpa dosha vanishes by worshipping Lord Shiva here in the form of Kunteshwar Mahadev.

Harsiddhi temple is located between Rama ghat and Mahakaleshwar temple  in Ujjain.  The devotees after worshipping Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga also visit here and seek the blessings of Annapurna Devi in this temple. The distance between these two temples is about one k.m. Harsiddhi temple was rebuilt during the rulings of  Marathas.  The marathi art can be here on the two pillars decorated with lamps. The atmosphere becomes more divine during Navratras due to beauty of these pillars.

Harsiddhi temple is one of the 51 siddha-peethas.  Devotees from all over India visit here to seek the blessings of the Devi. People visit the temple in large number during Navratras.  According to mythological stories, Devi Sati gave Her life by jumping into the havan performed by her father Daksheshwar. When Lord Shiva was moving around the earth carrying Her body in His hands, then Lord Vishnu cut Her body in 51 parts by His Sudarshan chakra. Out of these 51 parts, the elbow fell here.

All the festivals are celebrated here with great charm. Durga puja and Navratras are major festivals celebrated here. The temple is decorated with flowers and lights. The spiritual environment of the temple fills the devotees with peace.
