dharma-kṣhetre kuru-kṣhetre samavetā yuyutsavaḥ |
māmakāḥ pāṇḍavāśhchaiva kimakurvata sañjaya ||
O Sanjay, after gathering on the holy field of Kurukshetra, and desiring to fight, what did my sons and the sons of Pandu do?
This shloka is the first verse of the first chapter of the Gita at the beginning of the war of Mahabharata. In this, Dhritarashtra has asked Sanjaya that on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, where the battle of Dharma and Adharma is about to take place, what did my sons and the Pandavas who have gathered for the war do?
