oṃ hriṃ namah shivāya
Om (ॐ):
It is the eternal sound-source of the universe, symbolizing the entire creation. Chanting Om awakens the infinite energy and power of the universe.
hriṃ:
Om and Hreem symbolize Shiva and Shakti – pure undifferentiated consciousness and infinite creative energy. Hreem is a bija mantra, a short sound syllable that is also believed to remove illusions and obstructions.
Namah (Namaha):
It means respect or salutation. “Namah” means “I bow down” or “All glory to…”. It symbolizes humility and reverence.
shivāya:
It means “to Shiva,” meaning “All glory to Shiva.” Shiva is considered the auspicious, supreme God, the destroyer and the transformator. He is the master of all cosmic dances of creation and destruction.
Om Hrim Namah Shivya:
"I profess the power of Brahman, which is embodied in Shiva and Parvati."
OM, I bow to Shiva, the energy of transformation, the master of the subconscious mind, and the master of deep thought. I attempt to surrender to the great fire of transformation, Shiva, the master of the dance, the master of death, and the master of time. Shiva, who is beyond good and evil, beyond light and darkness.
Shiva, the power that erases the old handwriting to make way for the new. Shiva, whose dance dissolves the universe so that it can be reborn. Shiva, whose exhalation makes way for the new inhalation. Creation, preservation, and destruction in every moment... I bow before you.
Please remove the veils that obscure my vision. 'He who takes away,' Please remove all that keeps me from freedom.
