pūrvābhyāsena tenaiva hriyate hyavaśho ’pi saḥ
jijñāsur api yogasya śhabda-brahmātivartate || 44 ||
"A person who has practised Yoga in previous lives is drawn to Yoga from birth by the influence of that practice, even if he does so unconsciously or unwillingly. Such an inquisitive person, who wants to practice Yoga, rises above the rituals of the Vedas and moves towards higher self-knowledge."

In this verse, Sri Krishna is telling Arjuna that if a person has practised Yoga in a previous life, that person advances on the path of Yoga in this life also because of the influence of his previous practice.
