naiva kiñchit karomīti yukto manyeta tattva-vit |
paśhyañ śhṛiṇvan spṛiśhañjighrann aśhnangachchhan svapañśhvasan || 8 ||
pralapan visṛijan gṛihṇann unmiṣhan nimiṣhann api |
indriyāṇīndriyārtheṣhu vartanta iti dhārayan || 9 ||
Meaning: A person with divine consciousness, seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, moving, sleeping and breathing, always knows within himself that in reality he does not do anything. Even while speaking, giving up, receiving or opening and closing the eyes, he knows that the material senses are engaged in their respective objects and that he is separate from them.
